Marketing Strategies

You may have noticed that there are a lot of marketing strategies that you can use to promote your product or business; however you probably will not have enough time and money to use them all. Another point is that internet is changing every day and what was working a year ago may not work today.

There are two main categories of marketing strategies, so called “Free” and Paid.  In fact there are no free marketing strategies, because at least you need to invest your time and I do not know about you, but my time is very valuable.

Let me mention a few of them. Free strategies are for example: Content Marketing (Articles and Videos), Social Media like twitter and facebook, free classifieds, safelists, business directories, blogging, forum marketing, press releases, SEO strategies, and Paid strategies like PPC (pay per click), PPV (pay per view), banner advertising, email marketing, ezine marketing, media buying, joint ventures, magazines, newspapers, facebook ppc, linkedin ppc, radio advertising and many more.

You see, there are a lot of strategies and if you want to apply them all when you are starting with your online business there are two words that I want to tell you: “Good Luck”. Why? Because it is impossible to learn all these strategies in very short period of time. Proven way is to take 3 or 4 and master them. It takes some time before you will become a master marketer and learning 10 different marketing strategies is literally suicide. You will be frustrated because you will recognize that you actually do not know anything about marketing and after a few weeks or month you quit.

And I do not want you to quit, because there is a proven way how to do it correctly. You may probably ask: “ok so which strategies I should use in order to get fast and big results?” Well that is why I am writing this article, because I want to show you which strategies are the best to use and apply in your online business. Before I will share with you these strategies, let me tell you that I am not the only one who thinks this. I learn this from my coach and mentor and from other top producers and marketers.

Your portfolio should have free and also paid strategies:

1.)    Content Marketing – Articles and Videos are very powerful, because we now live in era of attraction and value driven marketing. Main point is to provide value for people and teach them what you know, share your passion and give them information for free. The key behind profitable content marketing is that you drive traffic to your nice looking blog where you have a lead magnet (free offer in your opt in form) and you capture your potential customers. There are two main content distribution strategies.
·    Through your blog, social media (facebook, twitter, digg, youtube), tribes
·    SEO or organic traffic – keyword optimization, social bookmarking, pinging, RSS feeds, article sharing sites, video sharing sites

2.)    Email Marketing – Email marketing is another very effective way how to build your business and drive traffic to your site. Great thing about this is that you are getting instant results. You send an email and you can expect leads in next few hours. You can use sites called list builders like ViralUrl, ViralHosts, ListJoe, Business Word List or paid for solo ads in ezines. Ezine is electronic magazine where you can send your offer to thousands of opportunity seekers or people who are interested in your product. One of the best ezine directories is DOE (Directory of Ezines) from Charlie Page.

3.)    Social Media – Another proven marketing strategy you can use for your online business. There are a literally hundreds of social networking sites but in the beginning is enough to use twitter and facebook.

4.)    Google (PPC marketing) – Google is a gold mind when it comes to lead generation and you should definitely use PPC in your marketing portfolio. The problem is that google is most expensive strategy and if you do not know how to do it you will waste a lot of money and probably your account will be suspended anyway. Google have new rules and I am hearing from lot of marketers that their account was suspended so before you start with google be sure that you get the education.

Choose these four effective strategies, learn and apply them in your marketing effort. After you will master some of these you can add another strategies like banners, PPV, media buying or whatever you want. If you will have a plan your mind will be more focus and effective and you will see the results. That is guarantee.
